Blue Whales are the largest animals to have EVER lived on planet Earth, bigger than any of the dinosaurs. Their hearts are the size of a car and they only beat 5 times a minute!
Unfortunately, their numbers are thought to be very low at the moment, and there may be as few as 400 living in the North atlantic. It makes even more special that they might be regular visitors in the autumn to Irish waters.
