Yesterday we were super lucky to see many wonderful things in the wildlife garden.
When I came into school I found the Squirrel had knocked over the bird feeder and was busy stocking up on peanuts. I had to be quick, but I managed to get a photo before it ran away!
Then we were very lucky to spot some baby birds being fed by their mother and father. They were baby Great Tits. The babies sat high up in the tree as their mum and dad went back and to to the peanuts to get food. If you look very very carefully, you can see one of the babies in a photo.
Abdul and Alex then spotted a Goldfinch on the bird feeder camera, the first time we've seen that bird in the NETNS Wildlife Garden!
After that we were very lucky to see a Treecreeper baby and its mother and father. The baby would cling very tightly to a tree as it's mother and father would bring it little bits of food. It was very hard to spot, but Katherine, Ryan, Doireann and Inez from Denise's class did a brilliant job helping me find it so we could take some pictures. Can you spot it?
You can hear Abdul and Alex talking about the birds they saw below.
